The oil filter and heat exchanger lie right in the firing line of dirt thrown up by the front wheel. Where as the heat exchanger will only suffer cosmetic damage, the sensitive oil filter housing is acutely at risk. A sturdy frame provides the mounting base for the protective splashboard itself. Stone chips and other damaging particles are safely kept away. A must for the new Twin.
